Our mission is to provide exemplary physical therapy and wellness services for individuals with athletic and orthopedic injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, and women with musculoskeletal pain during the child-bearing years. We provide highly skilled and individualized physical therapy while preserving the respect and dignity of our clients. We emphasize open communication with all health care team members.
Bridgid Ellingson, MPT,OCS, BCIA-PMDB
Bridgid has been treating men and women with spine and pelvic pain, incontinence, and other complex musculoskeletal dysfunctions since 1994. In 2001 she became an APTA Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Bridgid is a faculty member with the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, providing continuing education courses in women’s health physical therapy to physical therapists around the country. She is an active member of the APTA’s Section on Women’s Health and the Illinois Physical Therapy Association. Bridgid earned her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan. She has received training through Michigan State’s College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as training in visceral therapies and craniosacral therapy. Bridgid achieved her certification in Biofeedback Therapy for Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA). After seven years of service at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, she founded Lakeview Physical Therapy, P.C. in 2000 to offer highly specialized services in a private setting.
Bridgid is married and is raising two active children. She also enjoys books, music, camping, water sports, volunteering at the Marjorie Kovler Center, and running marathons to raise funds for the Healthy Schools Campaign organization. She recently attended a CrossFit Endurance Certification focusing on running form based on the POSE method and endurance sports training.
Katie Andrew, PT
Katie earned her B.S. in Physical Therapy from Bradley University in 2001 where she was a Division I Cross Country and Track Scholar Athlete. Her athletic background has given her a strong foundation for treating runners and other athletes. Katie has undergone extensive training for the treatment of pregnancy related pain, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence with Herman Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She has also completed course work at the Michigan State School of Osteopathic Medicine. Katie has had the opportunity to work with progressive and experienced women’s health clinicians, OBGYN’s and urogynecologists. Some of her practice techniques include: joint mobilization, visceral mobilization, muscle energy techniques, biofeedback therapy, multi-plane training, running evaluation and gait training.
Katie is an avid runner who enjoys spending time with her husband and new baby. She loves traveling, reading, being outdoors and relaxing with friends and family.
